Question 1

How do I turn Mermaid code into a PNG?

Accepted Answer

Paste the code into Renda, or paste the whole ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini reply it came in. The diagram appears straight away. Pick diagram size or a social size and download a sharp PNG. There is no watermark and no account to make.

Question 2

Can I paste a whole ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini answer?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Renda finds every Mermaid diagram in the text, including the ones inside mermaid code blocks, and ignores the rest. Each diagram becomes its own PNG, up to ten at a time.

Question 3

Why does my diagram show an error?

Accepted Answer

Mermaid is strict about punctuation. The usual causes are brackets or quotes inside a label, a subgraph or loop without its end line, or an arrow typed as -> where a flowchart needs -->. Renda names the line and says what is wrong in plain English. Fix with AI corrects it for you.

Question 4

What does Fix with AI do?

Accepted Answer

It reads the broken code and the error, changes only what stops Mermaid from reading it, and lists what it changed. Your labels, layout and wording stay as they are. It is part of Pro, and a £1 Render Pack covers five AI fixes or chat fixes.

Question 5

Can Renda write the diagram for me?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Open Describe it and write a sentence, such as “how a customer refund gets approved”. Renda writes the Mermaid code and shows the diagram, ready to edit or download. Like Fix with AI, it needs Pro or a £1 Render Pack.

Question 6

Is it free?

Accepted Answer

The live preview is free with no limit. Downloads use your five free PNGs a month, and each diagram counts as one. Pro removes the limit, and a £1 Render Pack gives you 24 hours with no limit.

Question 7

Which diagram types work?

Accepted Answer

Everything Mermaid draws: flowcharts, sequence, class, state and ER diagrams, Gantt charts, pie charts, mind maps, timelines, user journeys, quadrant charts, git graphs, XY charts, C4 diagrams and more.

Question 8

Can I get a PDF or a slide size?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Diagram size gives a sharp PNG at the diagram’s own shape, with a white margin. Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube and link preview sizes centre the diagram on that canvas. PDF puts the diagram on a page of its own size, or fits it on A4.

Question 9

Can I download an SVG or change the colours?

Accepted Answer

Not on Renda yet. Diagrams come out as PNG or PDF in Mermaid’s standard look on a white background, the same as the preview.

Question 10

Does it work with diagrams from Notion, GitHub or Obsidian?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as long as you can copy the Mermaid code. Notion, GitHub and Obsidian keep diagrams as mermaid code blocks: copy the block, or the whole page, and paste it into Renda.
